Free Measure & BISS Present
"A Three Disk Night"
The Monophonics / James Caran /
Eric McFadden

ERIC MCFADDEN and Friends (9pm)
Widely considered to be one of the single finest guitarists on the planet, Eric is also hightly regarded as a fantastic songwriter, vocalist, and all around entertainer from coast to coast and beyond. In addition to his multiple ensembles killin' it in the Bay Area for many years (including Liar, Alien Lovestock, the Eric McFadden Experience n others), he has toured as a member of PFunk, and performed with acts as diverse as Bo Diddley, Keb Mo', Living Colour, Les Claypool, Carla Bozulich, Widespread panic, The Reverend Horton Heat, Joe Strummer and others. You'll want to catch this, trust me people....

JAMES CARAN (with his Fullest Band yet) (10:15)

For this special evening we're going to have the Great American super rotating crew, reuniting a large portion of the key characters that helped make my new record "Tracks In Progress" happen, plus a few new faces and many many friends! We'll have Brian Rodvien on drums, both Paul Eastburn
(acoustic) and Ron Guensche (electric/effected) on bass (sometimes together!), Joshi Marshall on Sax/Rhodes (Mingus Amungus/Black Crowes/Santana), and special guests including maestro Ken Flagg on acoustic piano/bk. vox, a bit of trumpet from Chris Brown (Albino), the Lovely Annie Bacon steppin' in for some bk. vox, suprise world music guests, visitors from the other bands, a choir of misfit angels, and much much more. What can I say, we're goin' for it....This is 2009 people!

THE MONOPHONICS (post Midnight)

An 8-Piece killin' Funk horn band. Nuff said? Almost.... If you haven't yet experienced their ability to shake a room, this is the perfect chance.
I've been sitting in with them as a percussionist from time to time and thought they would be the perfect way to cap off the evening. Prepare to dance, prepare to shake, James Brown style. And they've even got a singer who can step it up to the man himself. Horns to die for, hammond organ, fantastic funky guitar, drums and percussion that will keep you moving (maybe even a guest you may recognize if he's still got his game face on), and of course, rump shaking bass. Gots to have the rump shaking bass.
