Happy Monday BISS Listers! We are so excited to be presenting these upcoming shows that we just had to put out a special edition to tell you about them all! Don't worry, the regular BISS List with all our shows and chances to win tickets will be coming out later this week.
5/13 - BISS Presents: Blues Traveler: A Benefit In Honor Of Bo Mahoney In Conjunction With Sweet Relief at The Independent.

*******************
If you have ever emailed in to win tickets from BISS, you have probably exchanged emails with Bo. (Some people even call him Mr. BISS since he is married to Miss BISS) Unfortunately, our dear friend Bo has been diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig's) which is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. To show him how much we love and support him, all of his friends are coming together for a benefit concert at The Independent.  The list of special guests is already starting to grow and we will tell you some of them soon. We expect this to be nothing less than an epic and amazing event for a great cause. Tickets are $35 dollars unless you wanna go VIP style. VIP will include a Sound check pre-party with Blues Traveler where you will get to meet the band, plus indulge in fantastic NOLA cuisine brought to you by "Roux The Day", and a pretty awesome silent auction. All the proceeds will be going to the Bo Mahoney Fund aside from the 7% we are donating to Sweet Relief. That 7% will go towards other Bay Are musicians (and crew) who are in need of healing. Wanna know more about Bo?https://www.sweetrelief.org/program/bo-mahoney-fund/

New Monsoon will be appearing at the fabulous Sweetwater Music Hall in Mill Valley on Saturday May 18th. Their previous shows here sold out, so be sure to get your ticket order in early!

San Francisco rock quintet New Monsoon is the collaborative vehicle for the vocal and instrumental prowess of founding members Bo Carper (acoustic guitar and banjo), Jeff Miller (electric guitar) and Phil Ferlino (keys). Now well into its second decade of national touring, the band also features the muscular rhythm section of Marshall Harrell (electric bass) and Michael Pinkham (drums).

New Monsoon's exhilarating blend of acoustic and electric instrumentation shines in an irresistible blend of sophisticated song craft, inventive musical exploration and down home rock-n-roll. "They have a collective power that comes off as a real unified force on stage. It's not just a band, you know? It's something transcendental." - Michael Shrieve (original drummer, Santana)
