Whew! Finally, back here in the Bay BISS Listers! What a LONG strange trip is has been! Complete with friends, family and the coldest run of days below 32 degrees in NYC in something like FORTY years! Did you hear about it? They called it the "Winter Bomb Cyclone". I am so glad to be back here in my city by the bay... even if I did fly right into a rain storm. Not to say it's all that warm here in the bay right now but it's all relative, right? And now that I have had the chance to sit down and look at the upcoming musical calendar, I am starting to feel warm all over! To kick off my return to SF, my very talented cousin, Mr. Mark Levy is in town playing drums with the very exceptional Neal Casal in his band called Circles Around The Sun tonight and tomorrow night at The Chapel. You might have caught Neal just last month at the Fillmore when he was here performing with Chris Robinson Brotherhood at The Fillmore. Hopefully, you also caught the BISS List Interview with Neal Casal from BISS List Contributing Editor, Josh Danson. Friday night, after Circles around The Sun, no doubt, I will be at the Boom Boom Room for my dear friend Nigel Hall playing with a project called THE SWITCH HITTERS ft. NIGEL HALL [Lettuce], ROBERT SPUT & NATE WERTH [Snarky Puppy], & WIL BLADES [Dr Lonnie Smith] plus TIM MARCONETT GROUP plus DJ KOS(Fri)/Kevvy Kev(Sat). Lucky us! We have two nights to take it ALL in! Saturday night, before we head into the Boom Boom Room, we will be stopping in at the Fillmore for Ozomatli. Not just because it's totally on the way, but because Ozo always puts on a fun show! When I say Ozo, you say Matli! Ozo...! For those of you with little ones, don't forget they always do an Ozo kids matinee show when they are in town. I took some time to go through the next two weeks of shows that the BISS List crew has selected to include on our calendar of upcoming shows.
