Happy Mardi Gras AND Happy Valentine's Day my dear BISS Listers!! I'm declaring this an extended weekend due to Mardi Gras on Tuesday and Valentine's on Wednesday. It's been two years since Miss BISS was ready and able to take the lead in the annual Mardi Gras parade from Patricia's Green (that's the park on Octavia at Hayes) to Brick and Mortar. We literally stop traffic on our way (see picture below of the crowd following me across Market?) It's a true second line complete with bead and brass!
When we get to Brick, there will be great NOLA style food brought to you by the chefs at the Crafty Fox cause you'll be hungry after dancing through the streets. And of course, the bar will be open cause you will definitely be thirsty. ��

This weekend looks like a great kickoff to Mardi Gras with Brass Mafia's Mardi Gras Celebrationtonight & tomorrow at Feinsteins at the Nikko.
Though I will be starting in my hood with Tony Glaser band opening for Scott Pemberton at Boom Boom Room. The timing over there should work out perfectly to slip out for Brass Mafia after Tony's set and still make it back for the second set of Scott Pemberton.
Tomorrow night, it's #sunnypammytime night. Yaaaaay! We are gonna end up at Great American Music Hall for March Fourth Marching Band. Congrats to our winner Dave A on winning a pair of tickets!
As always, I have made a list of my picks for the weekend. But I went all the way through next Friday in case I am late again next week. I even tried to sort them in order by preference as hard as that is!
